40 Years Ago… the disco dancefloor was going crazy to “Gloria” by Laura Branigan! As soon as you hear that woooshy zoooom at the beginning you know you are about to her some epic disco. Not to mention an epic and tragic tale!

Who was this “Gloria” character? A tragic gold-digger who was always on the run? Who dreams of marrying for the money and taking a lover in the afternoon… but who feels her innocence slipping away, and doesn’t believe it’s coming back soon.

She has to slow down, before she starts to blow it! She’s headed for a breakdown!

“Gloria” contains multitudes. They should make a movie about “Gloria.” I would totally watch it. “Gloria” is a 9

Little known fact, “Gloria” was originally an Italo-disco number by Umberto Tozzi in 1979. Umberto sang it as a love song to an imaginary impossible dream woman that none of his friends believe is real… or something… here’s that. It is of course in Italian.
