60 Years Ago… “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by The 4 Seasons was the Biggest Song in The World, & honestly, how did people not throw their radios out of the window, or smash them with a hammer whenever it was played? Sure, they could just change the station, but I admire their patience & self control, something I never thought I’d say about Baby Boomers.
Every second seems engineered to provide the maximum amount of torture, the maximum amount of pain. If you thought the chorus was high and whiney enough to begin with, then take a load of the verses! Just when you think it can’t be anymore grating, they take it to a whole new level! It was like the Crazy Frog of the 60s! And not only people forgive them and give them more hits, they wrote a Broadway musical about them!
